Antioch Woman Suffers Minor Wound In Wednesday Shooting
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- Antioch police officers are making their presence known near Black Diamond Middle School after someone pulled a gun and fired off rounds just off-campus Wednesday afternoon.
At about 1:55 p.m., a group of juveniles and adults were arguing in the 4800 block of Knollcrest Drive when someone took out a gun and fired several rounds at the group and at least two times into a vehicle, according to police.
A neighbor, who didn't want to be identified, heard shots fired while she was in her driveway and her sister and two kids were inside.
"As soon as I heard them, I ran back inside. I closed the garage quickly and my sister was already upstairs and trying to get her to the back of the room," she told KPIX.
One of those rounds grazed the leg of a grandmother and the noise sent middle schooler children running for cover.
"The kids were very hysterical, too. They were young and it's frightening. The guy was waving a gun around and stuff like that," said neighbor Gregory Barnes.
