Video: Winter Storm Brings High Surf – And Surfers – To Tahoe

LAKE TAHOE (KPIX) -- On Wednesday, the north shore of Lake Tahoe looked more like the ocean as a winter storm moved in. Waves were around four to five feet high and some intrepid surfers got pretty good rides from them.

Needless to say, wet suits were essential as the water temperature was bone-chillingly frigid.
