Fatal Crash Involving Pedestrian Shuts Down SB I-280 At Cesar Chavez In SF
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Interstate 280 in San Francisco has reopened after a fatal crash that killed a transient Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. A sigalert was issued, and I-280 was closed to southbound traffic, at Cesar Chavez.
CHP has confirmed the victim was a transient who wandered on the freeway. No word yet as to the person's identity.
The sigalert was canceled at about 10:15 p.m.
All lanes have been reopened.
