SAN LEANDRO (KPIX) — Firefighters are in mop-up mode after a grass fire ignited near Miramar Avenue in San Leandro.

The blaze broke out around 2:30 p.m. and, at one point, flames got dangerously close to homes.

No structures were damaged.

Fire investigators have not released information about a cause.
