SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF/BCN) — Police announced Thursday they’ve arrested two men in connection with a March shooting in the at the 24th and Mission St. BART station in San Francisco that injured one victim and killed another.
The March 29 shooting near the corner of Mission and 24th streets killed 26-year-old San Mateo resident Isaiah Cardenas and also left 23-year-old man injured.READ MORE: Massive Ash Cloud Turns Tonga Into Moonscape; Anxiety Mounts Among Bay Area Tongans
According to Cardenas family, he left behind a 7-yaer-old daughter.
After weeks of investigating, officers were able to identify the suspects as San Francisco resident Keshon Wilson, 30, and Stockton resident Arthur Grady, 37.
Last week, on April 30, officers were able to serve an arrest warrant int the 1600 block of Revere Avenue, in the city’s Bayview neighborhood. Then, on Wednesday, officers served a search warrant on the first block of Linden Avenue in South San Francisco, where they located Grady and arrested him on suspicion of being an accessory after the fact.
Wilson, who worked for a private company, was power washing the 24th Street Mission station on the night of March 29 when he walked up to a group of people and opened fire, authorities contend.
According to jail records, Wilson remains in custody and is being held without bail.
Although police have made arrests in the case, anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” at the start of the message.
