Wildfire Scorches 30 Acres East Of Highway 101 In San Martin

SAN MARTIN, Santa Clara County (CBS SF) -- Firefighters were responding to a wildfire in the vicinity of Paseo Vista Ave and Paseo Robles Ave in San Martin, Cal Fire said Friday afternooon.

Cal Fire SCU reported the incident at 2:35 p.m. in the area of Paseo Vista Ave. and Paseo Robles Ave., about two miles east of U.S. Highway 101.

As of 2:41 p.m., the fire had already burned five acres, Cal Fire said.

As of about 3:45 p.m. Cal Fire said the blaze had grown to 30 acres but forward progress had been stopped.

There are no immediate reports of injuries or structures being damaged.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
