San Francisco: First Thursday Art

First Thursday Art

A downtown tradition since 1993, on the first Thursday of every month many of the San Francisco Art Dealer Association member galleries are open late for a casual open house. The Thursday Night Art Stroll is an artful way to meet local artists, drink wine, soak up some culture, and connect with art-loving friends after work. You can also explore certain galleries that are typically open only by appointment. From 5:30-7:30, you’ll want to start in Union Square and head east. Make sure to stop at 77 Geary, 49 Geary and 251 Post Street, as all three of those buildings hold multiple galleries.
