Even though the busy summer tourism season is over, San Francisco remains one of the world's greatest destinations. With the city hosting the world's most prestigious yacht race, the America's Cup, the San Francisco Opera season commencing and a host of Broadway shows opening, there's really never a bad time to visit the famous City by the Bay. In fact, with San Francisco typically experiencing its best weather during the fall, now might be the best time of the year to visit, with smaller crowds and better value from boutique hotels and rejuvenating spa services.
