Best Places For Black Friday Shopping Deals In The Peninsula

Black Friday is traditionally the busiest shopping day of the year, officially kicking off the holidays in the world of retail. The lure of markdowns is strong enough to draw some shoppers like a magnet to the malls in the pre-dawn hours. For others, the avoidance of those bargain hunting crowds at the malls means they'll head downtown to more manageable, small retailers. These small business owners indicate that Black Friday afternoon and Small Business Saturday are ideal shopping times for deals that will last the whole weekend through. Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, falls this year on November 23, 2012.

The remodeled, enclosed mall with 120 stores has recently added a Forever 21 mega-store, H&M, Michael Kors and a Cheesecake Factory. The big guys are Nordstrom, Macy's and Sears. Black Friday sales at Banana Republic, Coach, Cost Plus, Gap, Hollister, Old Navy and more will be all the rage. With 5,800 free parking spaces, Hillsdale Shopping Center can manage Black Friday demand, with SamTrans and Caltrain being super convenient as well. Food court vendors will open in the middle of the night when the mall unlocks its doors for the first sales, so why wait outside in the cold?
