Best Restaurants For Father's Day Dinner Weekend In The Bay Area

It's that time of year again to honor dads and all that they do. On Sunday, June 21, why not take dad out on the town for a delicious meal? Restaurant options abound from family-friendly Mexican buffets to classy fine-dining establishments. Check out one of these Bay Area eateries for a fabulous Father's Day meal sure to show dad how much he is appreciated.

Big 4 Restaurant

Located beneath Nob Hill's Scarlet Huntington Hotel, the Big 4 Restaurant is named in homage to four 19th century railway tycoons - one of which was Leland Stanford - credited with much of San Francisco's early development. Big 4 is the perfect spot to bring the history buff dad. Harkening back to another era, the restaurant is decorated with a variety of memorabilia including pre-1906 earthquake photos of the city. With live music nightly, dad will love Chef Kevin Scott's approachable yet sophisticated locally-sourced menu. Make sure to order dad a Golden Spike cocktail, named after the final railroad spike connecting the country's first transcontinental railway.

Situated in the heart of the Presidio National Park, the Presidio Social Club is a modern cuisine eatery housed in a converted 1903 military barracks. This Father's Day, the club will be holding their 8th annual summer kickoff pig roast. Perfect for the dad looking to relax, the pig roast includes luau favorites such as pu-pu platters and mai tais. Make sure to dress dad in his finest Hawaiian shirt and head on over to the Presidio Social Club for an evening of deliciousness.

Downtown Redwood City's Angelica's Fine Dining is open six days a week for brunch and dinner. Open since May of 2013, Angelica's offers not only delectable eats, but nightly live music, dancing, and a full bar. This Father's Day, the restaurant is offering a special celebratory brunch. For the price of $42.50 per person, everyone in the party can enjoy an all-you-can-eat gourmet buffet, including bottomless mimosas. Brunch runs from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Danville, Bridges offers a relaxed urban dining experience. Open for dinner seven days a week, the Bridges menu serves California cuisine such as seared tuna with shiitake mushroom aioli and maple brined pork chops. There is also a regular prix fixe dinner menu Sundays through Wednesdays for $29 per person. On Father's Day, Bridges will be showcasing a celebratory prix fixe menu for dad. The meal will be classed-up for dad, with three courses, and will run a bit more than the everyday Bridges' prix fixe meal.

Emeryville's Los Moles is known for its family-friendly Mexican food with Puebla and Jalisco influences. In addition to traditional dishes such as carne asada and chile rellenos, the restaurant serves up a variety of signature moles crafted from family recipes. On Father's Day, Los Moles will present a special holiday all-you-can-eat buffet brunch. For just $20, diners can nosh all manner of delicious Mexican delights from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. For parties that bring five or more paying customers, dad eats free. After Father's Day, check out the all you can eat tacos on Taco Tuesdays for just $12.
