THE DEFENSE

Q: Hi Damion. Thank you for participating in Defend Your Ride San Francisco. Can you tell us a little about yourself?

A: I'm Damion and we're at Kelly's Cove at Ocean Beach in San Francisco. I live right up the street. I've lived here for about five years now and I love it here.

Q: Definitely jealous. Can you also tell us about your bike?

A: Of course. It's a Harley Davidson FXR 1991. I've had it for 10 years. When the weather is better, I'll take it to work, but I mostly use it for leisure. It's the prefect bike for the city. It's small. You can split lanes with it. It's not overdone, no stereo, side bags. You can go anywhere in it.

Q: Did you buy it or was it a gift?

A: I bought it as a gift for myself.

Q: You're a great gift giver. Where do you ride to most often?

A: I mostly ride around the city, especially to the beach here.

Q: What's the farthest you've ridden your bike?

A: I rode down to Mexico in one day!

Q: Wow, Tijuana? That must be like eight, 10 hours? How did that go?

A: Yeah, it was tiring. I don't drive very smart. I drive fast, so I burned a lot of gas. This thing is not known for saving gas. It has terrible mileage.

Q: Would you buy this bike today?

A: Maybe not since I'm trying to sell it. Do you want to buy it?

Q: I'm tempted, believe me, but no thanks. Well do you have a nickname for your bike?

A: Nope, I don't. OK, how about Buy Me.
