Shopping in Las Vegas can be just as fun as exploring the city, gambling and enjoying the nightlife of The Strip. This is one city in the country where shoppers with all size budgets and tastes are sure to find a place to shop ‘til they drop. Las Vegas is home to some of the most luxurious stores and is also home to many outlet malls, thus making it possible to enjoy some shopping no matter how much money is available to spend.
Top Shopping Attractions
The Las Vegas Strip is the heart of the best shopping the area has to offer. Visitors will be able to shop from unique hotel shops to upscale shopping centers located within the different hotels. No matter what shoppers are looking for, The Strip is the place to go. Top shopping attractions on the Las Vegas Strip include Encore Esplanade, Fashion Show, Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, Grand Bazaar Shops at Bally’s, Le Boulevard at Paris and the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian.
Those are just some of the most popular shops along The Strip. That does not mean they are the only must-see shopping attractions in the area. Other must-see shopping attractions include The LINQ, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, The Shoppes at Mandalay Place, Promenade Shops at the Bellagio and Wynn Esplanade.
Though the Las Vegas Strip is the most popular among shopping destinations in the area, there are several other locations where shoppers can explore. Many of these locations are off the Las Vegas Strip, however, they are still must-see attractions. Popular off-Strip shopping venues include The District at Green Valley Ranch, Downtown Summerlin and Trivoli Village.
Container Park is one of the most unique shopping venues in the Las Vegas area. This shopping center is made from up-cycled shipping containers and is home to many of the city’s most unique boutiques and shops. Visitors will also find a variety of artsy-style boutiques, restaurants, live entertainment and a cute little play area for the little ones.
Clark County is home to many different malls, including outlet malls. Plenty of the malls in the area offer visitors opportunities for shopping, dining and entertainment. Many of the shopping malls are located in top tourist areas of the city, including The Strip, but there are still many other malls located in Las Vegas and in neighboring Henderson. Top shopping malls in the Las Vegas area include Town Square, Galleria at Sunset and the Shops at Crystals.
Shopping at outlet centers has become increasingly popular. These shopping venues make it possible to shop from top retailers at a fraction of the cost. Popular outlet malls in the area include the Fashion Outlets Las Vegas, Las Vegas North Premium Outlets and Las Vegas South Premium Outlets. These locations are home to many of the popular name brand outlet stores, featuring quality products at discounted prices.
If at all possible, bring plenty of cash with you, or plan to use debit or credit cards when shopping in Vegas. This is mostly because you will want to avoid stopping at any of the casino or high tourist area ATMs. Fees on these machines can be anywhere from $3 to $5 per transaction. There are many bank branches nearby that are cheaper, but you will have to drive away from the main tourist areas.
If traveling on a budget, try to avoid making purchases at casino shops. Prices in these locations can be a bit high, especially when compared to the prices available on similar items at nearby outlet centers. For basic items, there are plenty of Walmarts located just a short drive away from the downtown Las Vegas area.
While in Las Vegas, visitors can pick up local publications and coupon books. Publications, such as I Love Las Vegas Magazine, have coupons for local restaurants, stores and attractions. These coupons can help visitors save money when shopping during their stay.
Those wanting to get a little help finding the best possible places to shop in the Las Vegas area can enjoy one of the many shopping tours. These tours take guests to the hottest shopping destinations, offering money-saving tips and tour some of Las Vegas’ most popular attractions. Some shopping tours include “shop and beauty package” at Fashion Show Mall, “shop and dine” at Fashion Show Mall, Shop and “play” at Caesar’s Palace Forum and Town Square Shop and Dine Gourmet Package.
Many of the stores in Las Vegas are located on The Strip. This makes it possible for visitors to enjoy their day exploring while being able to walk from one store to another.
