Martinez Police Release Photos of Bank Robbery Suspect

MARTINEZ, Calif. (KCBS) - Martinez police are asking for the public's help in locating a man suspected of robbing West America Bank on Sept. 8.

The police released two images (below) captured by a security camera at the time of the robbery, around 3:12 p.m. They believe the robber, a white man in his mid-20s, is responsible for another bank robbery in Lafayette on Sept. 2.

In the Martinez robbery, the suspect showed the teller a robbery note and flashed a black pistol. He fled on foot carrying a bag with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say the suspect is 5'6", has a slim build, short brown hair and no facial hair. He was last seen heading towards an apartment complex just south of the Nob Hill Shopping Center.
