Police Look for Man Accused of Pimping Girlfriend

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) _ Police in South San Francisco are searching for a man who they said was pimping his developmentally-disabled girlfriend on the internet.

South San Francisco police Sergeant Joni Lee said this is a new low in her experience, as the 21-year-old woman with Fragile X syndrome was allegedly prostituted by her 27-year-old boyfriend, Nicholas Geranios.

"She at first denied it. But then, when we got her separated, she admitted to going to hotel rooms and people would contact them online," Lee said. "And they would meet them in a hotel room and she would perform sex acts for the money."

Lee said that was money that Geranios would keep for himself.

The woman's mother became suspicious and called police. Lee said while officers were interviewing the victim, Geranios ran out of police headquarters and took off.

Lee said the woman was an unwitting victim who met Geranios just a month ago on the internet.

"I don't think she understood. In her mind, she fell in love with him immediately," said Lee. "They were going to get married."

Geranios is on parole and probation for pimping and assault. He is described as a white male with a shaved head and a goatee, blue eyes, standing 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds.
