LOS ANGELES (CBS) - Nostalgia for "The Brady Bunch" swept over the "Dancing With The Stars" audience Monday night as actress Florence Henderson, who played the mother on the long-running TV show, dedicated her dance to actor Robert Reed, who played the father.
On the air from 1969 to 1974 and seen extensively in reruns, "The Brady Bunch" focused on the adventures of an blended family created by the marriage of two widowed parents.

In a night of dancing to TV themes, Henderson, who at 76 is the oldest of the contestants, danced to the theme for "The Brady Bunch." She dedicated her tango to Robert Reed , who played architect Mike Brady on the TV show. Reed, who died in 1992, is often remembered by the child actors on the series as a surrogate father.
One of those actors, Barry Williams - who is now 56 - turned up during rehearsals for Henderson's dance and spoofed rumors that the two had engaged in an on-set romance during "The Brady Bunch" days. Williams, who played Greg Brady, later was seen in the audience applauding Henderson's dance-floor efforts.
