(KCBS) – KCBS Entertainment Editor Jan Wahl has several suggestions for this holiday weekend.

Made in Dagenham (R)
A film about women working at a Ford plant outside London in the 1960s. Starring Bob Hoskins, Sally Hawkins, Miranda Richardson, Rupert Graves – a believable, vibrant cast. Written with reality and heart by Bill Ivory, direction by Nigel Cole, who keeps the action and humor intact.

Burlesque (PG-13)
It’s glitzy showbiz fun time at the movies. This raunchy, sometimes lewd movie stars Christina Aguilera as that old showbiz cliche: smalltown girl comes to Hollywood and becomes a star. Includes a strong performance by Cher.

Nutcracker 3-D (PG)
Based on the classic holiday tale, this movie begins with promise; then it turns into a total mess.

Jan recommends these films to rent right now: Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, Eat Pray Love
