SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — Three people were hospitalized after being shot in a drive-by shooting in San Francisco early Sunday morning, police said.

Officers responded to reports of shots fired near Van Ness Avenue and Clay Street in the city’s Pacific Heights neighborhood around 2:10 a.m., San Francisco police Lt. Troy Dangerfield said.

According to preliminary information, the victims were driving on Van Ness Avenue and were followed by a suspect vehicle, which pulled up alongside and someone from inside opened fire.

Five to seven shots were fired, Dangerfield said. It wasn’t clear what preceded the shooting.

Three men in the victims’ vehicle were hit by gunfire. All three were hospitalized with wounds that were not expected to be life threatening.

The suspect vehicle drove off east on Clay Street. No one was arrested and no suspect or vehicle descriptions were available.

Seems to be a shooting every day in Ban Francisco. Gang punks and criminals doing all the shooting. The anti-gun laws don’t apply to them. Law abiding citizens can’t protect themselves. At least they took care of those dangerous Happy Meals.

Oh yeah, I’m totally with you “NRA Life Member,”
No shooting would have happened if the perpetrators thought that the victims might also have guns. And if there were a possibility that bystanders might have guns, then the perp’s surely wouldn’t dare. The world would be so frickin’ idyllic, if everyone were “packing heat.” There would never be any shoot-outs then! There would be no gunshot wounds, ever (well, except for hunting accidents, maybe, but no others!). Inner city ER’s would have doctors and nurses with nothing to do! Oh, if only San Francisco and the rest of the country could see the big picture.

Everyone would so much safer if the type of people who want to carry guns around (probably the more secure, thoughtful, and well-reasoned among us for sure) would only be permitted to.
