Cal Women Fall To No. 7 Texas A&M, 74-58

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) ― Danielle Adams had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Tyra White added 17 points as No. 7 Texas A&M overcame a poor second-half start for a 74-58 win over California on Saturday.

The Golden Bears (5-2) took advantage of five Texas A&M turnovers to go on an 11-0 run in the first four minutes of the second half and take a 40-38 lead.

The Aggies (6-0) responded with a 12-1 run to go back on top 50-41 with 13½ minutes to play. Texas A&M outscored California 8-4 over the next few minutes to stretch the lead to 58-45 with 9 minutes remaining.

The Golden Bears were led by Layshia Clarendon who had 19 points and DeNesha Stallworth added 14 points.

Adams got two fouls early and played less than 8 minutes in the first half.
