Changes To Muni Routes Begin Amid Transbay Terminal Work

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - Muni riders in San Francisco should brace for changes Thursday as ongoing construction on the temporary Transbay Terminal enters its second phase.

Stops for certain bus lines will be relocated starting Thursday, according to the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, which operates Muni.

Drop offs on the 38-Geary and 71-Haight Noriega—and their limited counterparts—will move to Beale Street. Riders can hop on those buses for pick up at Main Street.

Those passengers looking for the 80X-, 81X-, and 82X-Bayshore Express can find them at the islands at Main and Howard and Beale and Howard streets.

Passengers bound for Treasure Island will still be picked up from Beale Street, but the drop off location is now on Main Street.

By Friday, paratransit service will move from Folsom Street to Howard Street.

During peak commute hours this week, the SFMTA will deploy customer service ambassadors at the affected locations to alert customers and answer questions.
