San Francisco House Fire Leads To Pot Grow Discovery

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — Firefighters in San Francisco Sunday morning extinguished a fire in a home used to grow marijuana in the city’s Ingleside neighborhood, a dispatcher said.

Units responded to reports of a fire in a two-story home near Capitol and Miramar avenues around 9:50 a.m., according to the San Francisco Fire Department.

The blaze was quickly extinguished, the dispatcher said.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, but investigators reported that the home was being used to house an indoor pot farm.

Here is the Norml’s first report: Good evening,

Tonight, KGO Channel 7 news reported that a fire broke out at the medical cannabis dispensary, Norcal, located at 1545 Ocean Avenue, between Capitol and Miramar, in the Ingleside district of San Francisco. Cannabis plants were found growing onsite. It was reported that the PG&E box had been bypassed and a loaded handgun was found on the premises.

I assume they will have more on tonight’s news show.
