SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — Two men were injured in a shooting early Sunday morning outside a downtown San Francisco nightclub, police said Monday.

The men, ages 25 and 27, were shot during a fight that involved several people outside the Lot 46 nightclub at 46 Geary St., near Market Street, just before 2 a.m., according to police.

During the fight, someone pulled a gun and fired several shots, police said.

The 25-year-old man was hit once in the thigh, and the 27-year-old man was shot twice in the hip, police said.

Both were driven by their friends to a nearby hospital then taken to San Francisco General Hospital, according to police. They are expected to survive.

There was no description of the suspect, and no arrests have been made.

Their on Geary street, but drove them to General hospital which would had been over 30 minutes away.
Why wouldn’t they have drove them to Kaiser. I doubt they would refuse an emergency. that would have save 15 minutes of drive time.

It says that they were driven to a nearby hospital, and then taken to San Francisco General Hospital. I assume that means that they were stabilized, and then transferred

Thats because General Hospital is a “Trauma” Hospital. Kaiser is a regular Basic Life Support Hospital that DOES NOT have the doctors / surgeons or equipment for that kind of medical emergency.

Kaiser Hospital is no where near the scene of the shooting.

Who cares where they were taken, as long as they received appropriate medical care? I want to know why anyone decides to include a gun when they are planning an evening out???

I am pretty sure these were criminals with illegal guns. Law-abiding citizens who lawfully carry do not get into fights and shootouts.
