Man Gunned Down Inside San Francisco Coffee Shop
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5/BCN) -- A man was shot dead Thursday afternoon by a gunman who chased him into a coffee shop at Polk and Geary streets, according to police.
Officers indicated that the 25-year old victim was shot multiple times. He was identified by the medical examiner's office as Terry Turner, a San Francisco resident.
Authorities said the gunman fled the shooting scene on foot.
According to police, an unknown male suspect chased Turner into a coffee shop in the 900 block of Polk Street around 4:20 p.m.
The suspect shot Turner multiple times in the abdomen and head with a handgun, and then fled, police said. Turner was pronounced dead at the scene.
A bag was also taken from Turner, according to police.
Police were looking for a suspect described as a 30-year-old black male, 6', 190 lbs. with short hair and a scruffy beard. The man was wearing a green ski or cargo jacket and dark-colored pants.
