Stanford Men Lose To Oregon At Home For 1st Time Since 1986

STANFORD (AP) -- Joevan Catron scored 15 points, and Oregon ended 25 years of frustration at Stanford with a 67-59 victory on Thursday night.

Jay-R Stowbridge matched his career high with three 3-pointers and scored 13 points as the Ducks (10-10, 3-5 Pac-10) won at Stanford for the first time since 1986.

Dwight Powell scored 14 points as the Cardinal (10-9, 3-5) lost a fourth straight game.

Stanford took its first lead early in the second half and was ahead 38-32 with 15:57 remaining. The Ducks scored the next 12 points and eventually built a 10-point advantage.

Stanford made the score 56-52 following consecutive 3-pointers from Brown and Green.

The Cardinal got within 60-57 before Oregon's E.J. Singler converted a three-point play with 35 seconds left, and Garrett Sim made four free throws in the final 26 seconds.
