San Jose Pair Escape Burning Home

SAN JOSE (BCN) -- A man and a woman who were inside a burning house in San Jose Saturday morning jumped out a bedroom window and are safe, a fire captain said.

Several people called the San Jose Fire Department just after 8 a.m. to report that a house at 1820 Foxworthy Ave. was on fire, Capt. Steve Forman said

One wall toward the back of the single-story home partially collapsed and firefighters were continuing to try to extinguish flames just before 9 a.m.

PG&E workers were at the home to deal with live electrical wires, Forman said.

There were no reports of injuries.
