Ex-Survivor Contestants To Attend San Leandro Premiere Party
SAN LEANDRO (BCN) - A San Leandro sports bar planned to serve up something extra special for "Survivor" fans Wednesday night.
Ricky's Sports Theatre & Grill, located at 15028 Hesperian Blvd., was scheduled to host its annual premiere party, complete with a meet-and-greet featuring former "Survivor" stars, owner Tina Ricardo said.
"It's like a reunion," Ricardo said. "Once a year, fans of the show gather to meet the past stars. It's really fun."
Former contestants Yau-Man, Chad and Marty from "Survivor: Nicaragua" will be there, along with Sonja from "Survivor: Borneo," Sylvia from "Survivor: Fiji," Cecilia from "Survivor: Cook Islands" and Vecepia from "Survivor: Marquesas."
"The stars really play to the crowd," Ricardo said.
Ricardo is encouraging revelers to donate $15 to CBS Survivors' Stand Up to Cancer or Grassroots Soccer, dedicated to cancer and HIV/AIDS research, respectively.
