Portland Hangs On Over Santa Clara, 78-68
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) ― Jared Stohl, Nemanja Mitrovic and Jasonn Hannibal scored 15 points each to lead Portland to a 78-68 victory over Santa Clara on Saturday night.
With the win, Portland (19-9, 6-6 West Coast) moved into a fourth-place tie in the conference with Santa Clara (16-13, 6-6).
The Pilots took control with an 18-4 spurt that gave them a 58-43 lead with eight minutes left. Hannibal led the run with six points while Stohl and Mitrovic had five each.
Kevin Foster finished with seven 3-pointers and 29 points for the Broncos. Evan Roquemore added 14 for Santa Clara.
Luke Sikma had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Pilots.
