Daily Madden: Bad Tackling
Best of John: John Madden says it's an epidemic. In general, NFL players don't tackle as well as they used to. Madden says possible explanations include coaching emphasis on game planning instead of teaching, and the tendency of defensive players to want to make the big hit instead of wrapping up the ball carrier to get him to the ground.
John says the best tacklers know how to take the best angle to their target and understand their main goal is to stop the play. (4:15)
