Man Shot Dead Inside Car In Richmond
RICHMOND (BCN) -- A man was fatally shot while sitting in a car parked on Friday afternoon, a Richmond police sergeant said.
About 3:15 p.m., officers responded to a residence at 719 S. 45th St. on reports that a shooting had just occurred in a car parked outside of the home.
Officers arrived at the scene and found that a man had been shot while sitting inside a white Cadillac, according to Richmond police Sgt. Mitch Peixoto.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
No additional information about the victim was immediately available, and officers had not identified any suspects as of 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
Peixoto said that it is unknown whether or not the shooting was gang-related.
"But in that part of town, it could have been," Peixoto said.
