'Rock of Ages' Rolls Through San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - Broadway's Tony-nominated hit show, 'Rock of Ages' premiered at the Curran Theatre on Tuesday, March 8th. Set in Hollywood's world famous Sunset Strip, 'American Idol' alumni, Constantine Maroulis stars in this late 80's heavy metal musical.  The story follows a group of small time rockers trying to make it big in world full of big hair, big egos and of course big music. Featuring so much hard hitting music from the likes of Journey, Motley Crue, Poison, REO Speedwagon, Warrant and more.

If you haven't seen the musical yet, you're in luck, the show goes on until April 10th. A big screen version of the musical is in works with megastar, Tom Cruise and Julianne Hough of 'Dancing With The Stars'.  Adam Shankman will be in the Director's chair. Shankman previously known for remaking  the cult classic 'Hairspray' in 2007 with John Travolta.
