Daily Madden: truTV Confessions

(KCBS) - Another San Francisco Giants rookie phenom, the NCAA tournament, and the mystery of truTV were among the items discussed on the daily John Madden's chat on KCBS Radio Thursday.

Wednesday's Giants-White Sox game featured another strong effort by spring training sensation Brandon Belt.  The 22-year-old first baseman went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, walk, three runs scored and two RBIs.  For the spring, Belt is hitting .302 and with five doubles, two home runs and 10 RBIs.  Madden claimed if Belt isn't a "phenom" now, he will be soon.

Madden also admitted he hasn't thought about the NCAA basketball tournament until now, but is hoping to put it up on his multitude of TV screens.  While the games are on four networks, one network - truTV - is a mystery to Madden.  "Where did 'tru' come from?" said Madden. "When did it become a network?"

Madden did acknowledge watching "a little"  of a Donald Trump roast on truTV, an altogether stupid show, according to Madden. "The world's most dumbest, stupidest things I've ever watched," said Madden.
