The 14-year-old girl was kidnapped near Bancroft Avenue and Church Street at around midnight and driven to another location where she was sexually assaulted, police said.

Police are searching for the suspects who were described as three black men and they were driving a blue Lexus, police said.

Two of the men were described as being bald and around 40 years old. One was described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall and around 280 pounds.  The other was described as 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, police said.

The third suspect was described as being around 20 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 135 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, police said.

Investigators with the special victims unit have been assigned to the case, which police said is a high priority.

Police are reminding the public to use caution while going about daily activities and offered some tips for safety.

Police advised residents to be aware of surroundings and to avoid becoming distracted by electronic devices.

Stay in well lit, populated areas when alone, be alert when going to and from a vehicle, and notify the police if something or someone looks suspicious, police said.

  3. within says:

BIG G, that was my first thought. My 14 year old wouldn’t be out at midnight on the streets of Oakland or anywhere else for that matter! Where are her parents…??

  4. JZ says:

Yeah, I don’t know many parents that would let their 14yr old out and about the streets of Oakland around midnight! And, in the Bancroft area, c’mon! I used to work near bancroft & international, and it’s no joke.. c’omn parents!!

Wow, Really ( eye for an eye), shame on you.

  6. Siege says:

Do you mean that she was hopefully human?

  7. Takeresponsibility says:

No matter how unfortunate her family situation or living arrangements, she doesn’t deserved to be abducted and raped. Further, there is no race, religion, political or socioeconomic class where rape of anyone is acceptable.- and hurting a child is even more despicable. The most disturbing thing about the internet is that it gives a platform to hostile/racist/losers like eye 4 eye who clearly have a lot of misdirected negativity. Before the internet, we would not have heard from this person. And that would have been a better use of everyone’s time.

And now we gotta hear from self righteous idiots like you.

She was out looking for some fun at 12am! Hope that was fun enough for you.

Enough about the girl and her parents. How about the attackers? The physical descriptions taken together along with the blue Lexus should sprak somebody’s memory. Come on people…look around. These guys are driving around OUR city. They are not your “friends” if they degrade your community with their actions. They do not deserve anyone’s loyalty or protection. Step up and Speak up!

Three black men in a blue Lexus in Oakland. Yep that really narrows it down
