ANSWER: Only 1,900 invitations went out to the Royal wedding. According to author Lisa Grotts, guests were told to be in their seats at least 30 minutes before the ceremony and not to bring a gift. No cell phones or cameras were allowed. Men and women attending had to adhere to a dress code that was approved by the Queen.
