GRAND BLANC TOWNSHIP, Mich. (CBS/AP) -- The estranged wife of Golden State Warriors player Charlie Bell has been charged with assaulting him with a box cutter at his home near Flint, Michigan, according to authorities.

The Genesee County prosecutor said Kenya Bell was released from jail Monday, one day after her arrest in Grand Blanc Township. She was Miss Michigan USA in 2001.

Charlie Bell sustained minor injuries and his two children were present during the attack, according to prosecutor David Leyton, who declined to disclose many details.

Bell was a star on Michigan State's 2000 national championship team.

The 35-year-old Kenya Bell faces charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence.
