Unidentified Cyclist Dies After Crash On Fremont Trail

FREMONT (CBS SF) -  Investigators are working to identify a bicyclist who was killed in an accident on the Alameda Creek Regional Trail in Fremont on Tuesday afternoon, according to East Bay Regional Park District police.

Officers responded to reports of a bike accident on the trail under Interstate Highway 880 in Fremont around 12:50 p.m.

The bicyclist was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The man had no identification on him, and anyone with information about him is urged to call police at (510) 690-6549.

He is described as an Asian man between 55 and 60 years old, around 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing about 180 pounds.

He was wearing a green jacket, a black baseball cap, a light green Retro Fox sweater, a white T-shirt, gray sweat pants, and brown size 12 SAS loafer-type shoes, according to police.
