Let’s see if I can post a comment today (it seems my comment yesterday “got lost in cyberspace”!!!) First …. At least people an get to work, schooil, medical appointments, and other places on the METRO. That the “good part”. Now ….. let’s try to prepaid for the next time something like this happens ….. you set up a “Bus Bridge” Between Van Ness Station and either the “Church St. Station or the Castro Street Station. Next …. you runb the trains underground between Embarcadero and Van Ness Stations (where there are “Switch back tracks” that allow reversing train directions) …. and also continue the “T-Third St” service above ground. Next ….. you “Interline the “J and N” lines right where the tunnel enterance is …… and those patrons use the shuttle busses to get to Van Ness St stations for downtown destinations. Lastly ….. the “K / L / M” lines are run up to either Castro or Church street …. again using “switch back tracks” to reverse directions. This way ……. a minimum number of shuttle busses are used ….. and the METRO operators can still be used to run trains underground for most of the routs and carry more people. IS ANYONE FROM MUNI LISTENTIN??? My I be allowed to orchestrate the successful operation of this during the next time this happens, please???
