Serial Liquor Store Robber Sought After SJ BevMo Heist

SAN JOSE (CBS 5) - Police are searching for a man that they believe is responsible for robbing 20 Bay Area liquor stores in recent weeks.

Officers have released a sketch of the man who allegedly threatened workers at a BevMo store in the Willow Glenn area of San Jose last week. The robber threatened store workers with a handgun and ran off with cash.

Detectives said the BevMo crime is similar to those carried out in nine other cities, including another BevMo location on El Camino Real in Menlo Park on May 1st.

The man is described as 5'9', 200 lbs with black hair and brown eyes.
