Police Investigating Triple Murder In Richmond

RICHMOND (CBS) — Three people were killed in shooting in a Richmond apartment Saturday afternoon.

Police received a 911 call reporting a shooting at974 Triangle Circle in the Triangle Court public housing development just before 4:30 p.m., said Capt. Mark Gagan.

Three men were found dead inside, including the apartment’s resident Michael Anderson, 36, and Dante Deloney, 19, of Oakland. A third man was also found dead in the apartment, but his identity has not yet been released, Gagan said.

Gagan said the motive for the shooting remains under investigation, but there appeared to have been an exchange of gunfire.

One person who was found in the home was taken in for questioning, but is considered a person of interest rather than a suspect at this point, Gagan said.

There are many different areas of Richmond. Unfortunately, people who don’t know Richmond tend to think that all of Richmond is like this. While things like this can happen anywhere – a large amount of the killings in Richmond happen in certain areas.

I thought this housing project was supposed to be DRUG FREE! Since police haven’t identified the suspect I won’t comment on what probably is just more black on black crime. I would hope that the black community, as well as the rest of the community would take a long hard look at what really needs to happend to slow down this holocaust!
