3 Hurt In Pleasant Hill Police Pursuit

PLEASANT HILL (CBS/AP) -- Three people were taken to the hospital after a suspect being pursued by police ran a red light in Pleasant Hill and caused a five-car crash, according to authorities.

The collision occurred around 6 p.m. Wednesday after Richmond police tried to pull the male suspect over in Pleasant Hill. Police have released few details about the circumstances leading up to the crash, including why they attempted to pull the vehicle over.

Pleasant Hill police Sgt. Tim Frank said that none of the injuries was considered life-threatening.

The suspect, who was been arrested, has not been identified although police said he is from Richmond. He was also taken to a hospital.
