Shotgun Fired Into Car In SF Bayview; 1 Injured

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A man was shot while he was sitting in his car in San Francisco's Bayview District early Monday morning, police said.

The shooting was reported at 3:55 a.m. near the intersection of Shafter Avenue and Jennings Street.

The 38-year-old victim was sitting in the car when a female fired a shotgun through the passenger door of the vehicle, according to police.

The bullet struck the man in the upper lip, and he was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.
