PALO ALTO – (KCBS) – A recent string of school burglaries has robbed Palo Alto campuses of valuable electronics during the summer recess. One elementary school has been targeted for multiple break-ins.

Palo Alto’s Duveneck Elementary has been struck three of the past four weeks. The most recent break-in happened on Sunday when the suspects entered a classroom by simply removing the boards that covered up the window that had been smashed in a theft two weeks ago.

This time, the crooks only made off with a few hundred dollars worth of digital cameras.  The earlier thefts at Duveneck included $6,000 worth of cameras on July 8th, and $23,000 worth of equipment on July 25th.

KCBS’ Matt Bigler Reports:

Police said the break-ins were part of a recent series of burglaries at Palo Alto schools also affecting at Gunn and Palo Alto High Schools and Jordan Middle School.

Last week two 18-year-olds from East Palo Alto were arrested in connection with the Gunn thefts, but the suspects are still outstanding in the other school burglaries.

East Palo alto is a miniature version of Los Angeles and Oakland combined in one. The police are so corrupted that they are unable to manage the influx of criminals controlling East Palo Alto with their endless filth. Its time to oversee the decay of East Palo Alto and to rid East Palo Alto of the criminals and the blights that proceeds them. The mayor of East Palo Alto should do something about the crime and the decay, and to rename East Palo Alto into something else as to rehabilitate the city, to remove poverty and to stabilize the environment by removing the criminals at once.
