Man Injured In Oakland Police Shooting

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- One man was injured in Oakland on Friday night during an officer-involved shooting, a police spokeswoman said.

The shooting occurred in the 2100 block of Fruitvale Avenue, which is between Foothill Boulevard and East 22nd Street, at about 7:40 p.m., Sgt. Holly Joshi said.

The injured man sustained a gunshot wound, Joshi said.

According to police, the injury the man suffered was not life-threatening.
