2 Oakland Shootings Leave 2 Hurt

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Two separate shootings in Oakland sent two people to the hospital Saturday night, police said.

The first shooting was reported just after 8 p.m. in the 800 block of International Boulevard, Oakland police Officer J. Moore said. Officers found one person suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition, Moore said. Police could not immediately provide any suspect information.

Less than 20 minutes later, Oakland police responded to a second shooting in the 2300 block of 100th Avenue, he said. One victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition for treatment of a gunshot wound, Moore said.

The suspect in the shooting drove away in a vehicle before police arrived, he said. No arrests have been made in either shooting. It is unknown if they are related.
