Teen Fatally Shot At Antioch Birthday Party

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) — Antioch police are investigating a fatal shooting at a birthday party that killed a 16-year-old Oakley boy Saturday night, police said.

Officers responded to a house in the 2800 block of Seville Circle after receiving a report of gunfire around 10:15 p.m., Antioch police said.

KCBS’ Bob Butler Reports:

Police found a teenage boy suffering from life-threatening injuries. Medical crews arrived and he was transported to Sutter Delta Medical Center, where he later died. He has not been identified by police.

A 17-year-old girl from Antioch was also injured in the shooting, but she is expected to survive. A friend took her to the hospital, where she was treated for a single gunshot wound and released, police said.

Investigation revealed the two victims were attending a large birthday party at the house. An argument erupted between an unnamed suspect and the 16 year old before the suspect shot him, according to police.

Detectives are still trying to determine exactly what led up to the shooting and the teenage girl’s involvement.

Antioch police have not released any suspect information.

How many times must this be told that guns must be banned? Why are criminals allowed to own guns regardless of the consequences? Criminals do not need guns as business owners, shop owners and security guards often need it more to defend their business from dangerous and inept criminals. You will often continue to see the amount of violence that are continuing to grow no matter how much the police are trying to fight against the surge of violence! Our existing legislatures and laws are so meaningless now that criminals have become more ruthless and dangerous.

I completely agree with you. We are not safe anymore even in non- ghetto communities.

Banning guns is not the solution. Restoring morality is.

People have to realize that they can no longer have or attend house parties. Too many youth carry weapons and there aren’t any metal detectors at your front doors and even if there was, they would store the gun in thier car right outside so there would still be the potential for a shooting to occurr.

Laws are meaningless to criminals. Why suggest more laws? Enforce the ones we have now. Criminals will have guns regardless.

Guns are like condoms. They are tools to protect. Both can F|_|ck people, but look at the root of the problem and you will see that it is the people who use the tools improperly. Whether it’s robbing, carjacking, or being a rapist it is the person committing the act who is the problem and not the tool used to do it.

If you believe otherwise and are male you you yourself are a tool and must chop off your p3nis immediately. Make sure to cauterize the wound.
