SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A woman who had just arrived at her home in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood on Wednesday night opened a closet door to find a burglar inside, police said.

The 22-year-old victim lives in the 100 block of McAllister Street and got home around 9 p.m.

After the woman saw the burglar in her closet, she ran outside and called police.

The man fled before officers arrived and apparently took some of the woman’s lingerie, according to police.

The burglar was described simply a man in his 20s. He had not been found as of Thursday.

Anyone with information about the burglary was encouraged by detectives to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
