14-Year-Old Killed In South San Francisco Shooting

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A 14-year-old boy was killed and another wounded in a shooting in South San Francisco on Sunday night, a police sergeant said today.

The two boys were standing with a third teenager in the 600 block of First Lane at 8:50 p.m., when as many as four suspects drove up in a black 2004 or 2005 four-door Honda Civic or Accord, South San Francisco police Sgt. Joni Lee said.

At least one of the suspects opened fire on the three boys, wounding two of them, Lee said.

Both victims were taken to a hospital, where one died from his wounds, Lee said. The second is expected to survive.

Investigators are trying to determine if the gunshots were fired from inside the vehicle, or if the suspects got out of the car and approached the victims on foot.

One of the suspects was described as a Hispanic man between 18 and 20 years old, who was wearing a white knit cap and a black sweatshirt, Lee said.

A second suspect was also described as a Hispanic man between 18 and 20 years old, who was wearing all dark clothing.

It is not yet clear whether the shooting was gang-related, Lee said.

Anyone who might have information about the shooting is urged to contact South San Francisco police at (650) 877-8900.

    Damn thugs.

Were the perpetrators illegal aliens? I guess it’s due to political correctness that such information is never provided in these articles.

  • Don Julio

Don, although I’m with you on the illegal alien point, I must point out that if they have no idea who the suspects are, how could they possibly know if they are illegals? But I also agree that even if they knew that they were illegals, they would not mention that in the Bay area due to political correctness.
