SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – An elderly woman was hospitalized after being pushed to the ground and robbed of a gold necklace and pendant by two other women in San Francisco’s Excelsior District on Wednesday evening, police said.

The robbery was reported at 5:11 p.m. near Excelsior Avenue and London Street.

The 76-year-old victim was walking when the two women approached her, pushed her to the ground and snatched her necklace, according to police.

The suspects, described only as two women in their mid-20s, then ran to a vehicle and drove away. They had not been found as of this morning, police said.

The victim was taken to California Pacific Medical Center’s St. Luke’s campus to be treated for a hip injury.

Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.
