Driver Crashes Into Sears At Marin County Mall

SAN RAFAEL (CBS SF) — A woman who crashed her car into the wall of the Sears building at Northgate Mall in Terra Linda on Wednesday afternoon was taken to Marin General Hospital with serious injuries, San Rafael Fire Chief Chris Gray said.

The woman was trapped inside the small gray sedan after it struck the building near the entrance to the mall’s movie theater around 3:15 p.m., Gray said.
She was alone in the car and no one else was injured, Gray said.

He did not know the extent of her injuries but said the ambulance left the scene with its lights flashing and siren sounding.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
