East Bay Funeral Procession Set For Danville Marine

DANVILLE (CBS SF) - Officials in Danville were advising residents that a funeral procession for a local marine killed last week in Afghanistan could disrupt traffic on Monday morning.

The family of Lance Cpl. Joshua Corral, 19, will receive his remains at Travis Air Force Base in Solano County on Monday morning, according to Danville officials.

The funeral procession for the San Ramon Valley High School graduate will make its way south on Interstate Highway 680 to the El Cerro exit, and continue south on Danville Boulevard.

The procession was expected to arrive at the Wilson-Kratzner Funeral Home at 825 Hartz Way by 11:45 a.m.

Danville police will be stationed along the route to assist with traffic control.

Corral was on his first tour of duty in Afghanistan's Helmund province, when he was killed during combat operations on Nov. 18, according to the U.S. Defense Department.
