Elderly Windsor Man Shoots Roommate Before Committing Suicide

WINDSOR (CBS SF) – An 81-year-old man shot his female roommate then fatally shot himself in their Windsor residence early Friday morning, according to police.

The 81-year-old woman reported the shooting at a home on Capewood Lane around 4:30 a.m., Windsor police Chief Chris Spallino said.

Police found the man on the floor of the residence dead from a gunshot wound, Spallino said.

The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, Spallino said.

The names of the two victims are not being released until their next of kin are notified, Spallino said.
