Oakland House Fire Leaves 1 Dead

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Arson investigators have been dispatched to the scene of a fatal fire in Oakland Sunday morning, a fire department dispatcher said.

Fire was reported in a home near Arthur Street and 79th Avenue about 7:30 a.m., according to the Oakland Fire Department.

Arriving firefighters found a single family home fully engulfed in flames.

A 55-year-old Oakland man was killed in the fire, according to the fire department.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
